Savage Summer Cocktail Recipes You'll Want To Try

The season of summer officially arrives next week! (Friday, June 21) In honor of the beginning of this bright, sunny, and hot season, Savage Scorpions has scoured the internet for a few new delicious drink recipes you can try. 


You can easily switch these cocktails from ordinary to savage simply by adding our creative cocktail garnish to the ingredient list of each one! Stock up your bar and get ready to quench your savage summertime thirst with these incredible drinks. 

Watermelon Coconut Cooler

  • 8 cups frozen, cubed watermelon
  • 8 ounces lemon vodka
  • 7 ounces simple syrup
  • 17.5-ounce can of coconut juice
1) To make the simple syrup, dissolve 1 cup sugar in 1 cup water in a saucepan over low heat, then let cool before using.

2) Blend all ingredients and serve with watermelon wedges.

Mango-Peach Sangria

  • 1/4 cup mint
  • 1 cup Grand Marnier
  • 2 peaches, cut into thin wedges
  • 1 bottle Viognier
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 mango, chopped
  • 1/3 cup sugar
In a saucepan, cook the sugar and water until it dissolves; transfer to a pitcher and refrigerate until cold. Stir in the Grand Marnier, Viognier, mango, peaches, and mint and serve over ice.

Blackberry Cucumber Gin and Tonic

  • 8 fresh blackberries
  • 3-4 slices cucumber
  • 1-1.5 ounces of the gin of your choice
  • 1 cup tonic
1) Place 5 blackberries in the bottom of your cup and smash with a fork. 

2) Add as much ice as you would like

3) Pour gin in and swirl around with the blackberries

4) Add tonic

5) Garnish with the rest of the blackberries and cucumber slices.

Spicy Cucumber Margarita

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 cups tequila blanco
  • 1-1/4 cups lemon juice
  • 1-1/4 cups lime juice
  • 1/2 cup triple sec
  • 1 jalapeno, halved lengthwise
  • lime wedges
  • kosher salt
  • cucumber slices
  • jalapeno slices
1) Bring sugar and 1/3 cup water to a boil in a saucepan, stirring to dissolve sugar. Let simple syrup cool.

2) Combine simple syrup, tequila, lemon juice, lime juice, triple sec, and jalapeno in a pitcher. Chill for at least 30 minutes or up to 3 hours. (Taste every half-hour or so until spiced to your liking.) Remove jalapeno. 

3) Rub a lime wedge over half the rim of highball or rocks glasses; dip into kosher salt. Serve margaritas over ice in prepared glasses; garnish with sliced cucumber and jalapeno.
