Memorial Day Weekend Cocktail Inspiration

We are just days away from Memorial Day Weekend! We're not sure about you, but we are looking forward to the long holiday weekend ahead. If you are planning on celebrating this weekend and need some delicious recipes, Savage Scorpions has a few for you! We have put together a few of our favorite Memorial Day Weekend inspired drink recipes from Delish.com for your enjoyment. Spiked Pink Lemonade

Who doesn’t love giving their favorite childhood drink a grown-up twist?

Ingredients:
750 mL bottle of dry sparkling rosé
1 cup of vodka
1 can of frozen lemonade
½ cup club soda
2 cups sliced strawberries
3 lemons thinly sliced

Directions:
In a large pitcher, combine rosé, vodka, lemonade, club soda, strawberries, and lemons. Stir and refrigerate until chilled, then serve.

Watermelon Sangria

Everyone loves sangria and everyone loves watermelon. Sounds like the ultimate crowd pleaser to us!

Ingredients:
1 large watermelon
1 750-mL bottle of white wine
2 cups of white rum
1 cup of seltzer
1/3 cup lime juice
2 limes thinly sliced
2 cups of assorted fruit (fresh or frozen)

Directions:
Slice off the top third of the watermelon lengthwise (save for later) and score fruit with a knife. Using a large spoon or ice cream scoop, scoop out watermelon and transfer into a blender.
Blend watermelon until smooth
Add white wine, rum, seltzer, and lime juice and stir until combined, then add limes and fruit.
Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours, then serve.

Cucumber Margarita

Nothing says laying poolside quite like a cucumber margarita.

Ingredients:
Salt
Ice
2 ½ ounces of Cucumber-infused tequila
1 ounce lime juice
1 ounce simple syrup
1 slice of cucumber

Directions:
Wet the rim of an old-fashioned or margarita glass and dip it in the salt. Let stand until dry. Fill the glass with ice.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add in the tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake the mixture until well chilled. Strain the cocktail into the rimmed glass and garnish with the cucumber slice.

Trouble Maker

This drink just sounds like fun. If you’re looking for trouble, you might have just found it.

Ingredients:
4 slices English cucumber, extra for garnish
2 strawberries, extra for garnish
1 ½ ounce vodka
1 ounce Bonal (French aperitif)
¾ ounce simple syrup
¾ ounce lime juice
seltzer

Directions:
Muddle the cucumber and strawberries. Shake vodka, Bonal, simple syrup, and lime juice. Pour over a Collins glass and top with seltzer. Garnish with half strawberry and cucumber slice.
