Margarita Recipes

What could be more refreshing on a warm day than a frozen mango margarita?

Ingredients:
One 10-ounce bag of frozen diced mango
2/3 cup of tequila – preferable silver, 80 proof
¼ cup fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons orange liqueur – such a Cointreau
2 tablespoons superfine sugar
2 cups ice water

Directions:
Put the mango, tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, sugar and water in a blender and blend until smooth.

If you like a little kick in your margarita, this might be for you!

Ingredients:
½ cup fresh lime juice
½ cup white Blanco tequila
¼ cup orange liqueur – such as Grand Marnier
¼ cup simple syrup
4 thin slices of cucumber
1 jalapeno – halved lengthwise
Ice – for serving
Salt for glass rims (optional)

Directions:
Mix together the lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, simple syrup, cucumber and jalapenos in a large pitcher. Chill for at least 1 hour (the longer the margarita sits, the more the cucumber and jalapeno flavors infuse into the drink.) Serve over ice in salt-rimmed glasses, if desired.

This is the ultimate summer margarita.

Ingredients:
Salt or sugar for glass rims
1/3 cup orange-flavored liqueur – Cointreau is recommended
¼ cup Triple Sec
¾ cup tequila
4 ounces seedless watermelon – diced in small chunks
1 lime

Directions:
In a martini shaker shake together the orange-liqueur, Triple Sec, and tequila. Remove glasses from the freezer. Fill the bottom of each glass with the diced watermelon and pour alcohol mixture over the top, dividing evenly among glasses. Slice lime into wedges and squeeze into glasses.

Just picture sitting by the pool and sipping on a mint julep margarita.

Ingredients:
2 limes – each cut into 16 pieces
2 teaspoons superfine sugar
10 fresh mint leaves
2 ounces bourbon
1-ounce orange liqueur
¼ cup seltzer

Directions:
Place the limes in a cocktail shaker. Sprinkle with the sugar and add the mint leaves. Muddle well, making sure the juice is really extracted from the limes and the sugar dissolves. Add the bourbon and orange liqueur. Add a couple of ice cubes, cover and shake well. Strain. Can be served over ice or straight up. Top with seltzer. Garnish with a lime wedge.
